Immersed in the rhythms of estate horticulture and maintenance of a subtropical garden, including palms and cacti,
and the delineated rooms and ancient valves and water channels of the historic Arab Garden. Collaborative work
with the garden team informed cultural, historical and botanical understanding of this unique environment, and
inspired poetry writing throughout eastern Sicily from the base of Mt Etna to hilltop Baroque splendor to ancient
ruins.
